Project for and with EHPAD residents and caregivers
"Geste Commun" immerses us in the hospital environment, but in the submerged part of the iceberg, where accompanying death rhymes with life. Each resident of this EPHAD reveals a facet of the world, of society, and each caregiver takes us into new realities of intense, human daily life. Mobilizing the four departments, from the simplest aging to the most complex disorders, these 6 months of artistic presences have attempted to move the lines of a strongly established system.
Accompanied by young dancers from the ABC training program, these workshops are a unique moment in the day for care assistants, who for a moment let themselves go to the dancers' touch, rediscovering the notion of "non-medicalized, aimless touch".
A unique moment for each of us in our respective routines, a unique experience of pooling our life and death impulses, "Geste Commun" profoundly marks our relationship with death, life, and the perpetual movements that oscillate between the two.
