''The revolution of the heart is underway''
KOMMOSa creation for the 105 students taking part in the Athens Festival's Lyceum Epidaurus.
This creation will question the notion of "kommos", a moment in Greek tragedy that occurs when the tension of the play reaches a climax of grief, horror, pain, relief or joy, and takes the form of a lamenting song in which the chorus and a dramatic character sing together.
Our bodies in the 21st century are the echoes, the trace, the memory, the evolution of the mythology of Greek tragedy, and can create their own "kommos".
This piece wants to give a voice to this young generation that needs utopia and dreams of freeing itself from the world and the atmosphere of catastrophe and nihilism that surrounds us. To be an individual in a group. To be a group of individuals.
Each person will use his or her body as a tool of resistance, to nurture a shared utopia and reinforce the act of the individual to make the group stronger and more powerful.
