Noces de porcelaine is a shared creation project, a workshop at the crossroads of art and performance. This work draws on the very resources of the site, its architecture, to invest a space in order to develop research around
the constraint that limits and empowers the body, developing the notion of "power with" and not "power over" so prevalent in societal hierarchical systems.
The research time is divided into several stages and areas of practice, so that everyone can find their place.Initially, a meeting with collaborators Fabio Motta (Brazilian visual artist), Chris- tophe Béranger & Jonathan Pranlas-Descours (co-artistic directors of the SINEQUANONART company/choreographers/dancers/educators) and their previous collabo- rations will make it possible to visualize the artistic stakes and the bodily and mental im- plications necessary for performance... so that each person becomes aware of a starting point, necessary for the overcoming that will come.
This is followed by an initiation/transmission of the art of Shibari, its origins and anthropological issues. The creation of the choreographic material is built around the constraint of the prevented body and the porosity of the ceramics on the body itself. The ceramics are sculpted on the face, in a limited timeframe, and the floral transformation is carried out in parallel with the ritual, which is the main thread running through the time of the research. This ritual guides the rhythm of the day's work, between body placements, preparation of ceramic and floral materials, attachment rituals and performative ex- periences.
